On July 15, 2008,  Vincent and Stephen Pitcher drowned in Kinzua Dam while on a camping trip with family and friends.  These two brothers were found seven hours later,  Vincent 21 still holding onto Stephen 19.   Vince would not let go of his little brother, Stephen.  They were two great young men who had many friends and deeply touched many people in their short lives.

Like many other children and young adults in our area they enjoyed skateboarding, rollerblading, and BMX biking.  Many communities within the city are not conducive to these sports as riding bikes and skateboards on streets and sidewalks can be dangerous not only to the rider but to pedestrians.

The entire community of friends and family of these two boys have started a grass roots effort to build a memorial skate park in their honor.  Just as Vince would not let go of his brother,  we in the community are holding onto this dream to make it a reality for future generations of children and young adults to enjoy and have a safe place for skateboarders, bikers, and bladders to enjoy the sport they love!

We are holding numerous, fun and exciting fundraisers throughout the next year!

Please visit our web site for more information about out project.

Donations can be made to any PNC Bank under the Pitcher Memorial Fund.
